Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer has touched our family and friends several times over, myself included having been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2021. Also our lovely Dad with his prostate cancer battle. More recently my sister has lost a very dear friend to this dreadful disease. Several other family members and friends have also faced battles and some have sadly lost their lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us if you are able.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
