My Story
Last year, in May, we got the news that we didn’t want. My mum had been diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer. 2 large tumours & it had spread into her lymph nodes. She started chemotherapy on the 9th June so that they could shrink the tumours & then progress onto surgery. Her surgery was carried out on the 19th October & now she is currently having radiotherapy until the 17th January. I cannot express how terrifying this whole situation was and still is for everyone, especially my mum. But she has made me the most proud daughter for how strong & courageous she has been! There have been tears (many of) but I can honestly say it changes your outlook on life so much because the journey doesn’t stop once it has been removed. There is still a chance that it could come back but there’s also a chance that it doesn’t. So hug & tell the ones you love everyday because you don’t know what that person is going through behind closed doors. If you could spare whatever you have to donate to this amazing charity to help in any way possible to find a cure for cancer, it would be greatly appreciated by many people! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
