Daniella's Race for Life

Due to my mum recently being diagnosed with cancer and loosing family members to this illness, I have decided I would like to raise money for Cancer Research UK, it has made me realise how vital the research really is and I feel this is a great importance, not just to me but to everyone! Cancer is very dangerous illness and destroys many people’s lives, without the help of Cancer research UK many of the cancers would not be as curable as what they are today. Over the past 40 years the survival rate has doubled, and the Diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of people’s lives. Cancer affects primarily the person who has been diagnosed but also the family and loved one’s around them, I would say or imagine the greatest fear of cancer is the unknown, firstly it’s the waiting game of the staging process and whether the cancer is curable or not ! Then once you have received these results you then have no option but to accept them and try and cope with the next steps ahead! Whether the cancer is curable or not it’s a very tough and traumatic experience to go through and without the help from Cancer Research UK the final outcome of cancer would not be as high as it is today. So please everyone, any donation little or big will help to raise money for this amazing cause, this is not just for me and my family, but for anyone who has passed away from Cancer, fought and survived cancer and is fighting now.
