My mummy x

My Story

Most of you know my mum Carol - she as all us Vardy's, has enjoyed life and all the adventures it has bought her and her husband 'big bri'. Most recently on my yearly trip to Cyprus, I, along with my big brother and sister, was devastated to find out my mum had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. The next 8 months are to be filled an operation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, blood tests, and trips on the Cyprus Cancer Bus! My mum through all of this has been amazing, by week 3 she had lost all her hair, and for the girls out there we all know this would be the hardest part......for carol she got Brian to shave it off!!! for most of us this would have knocked our confidence.... not carol- she is currently rocking the 'baldness' and 'bandaners' like a superstar and we have never been more proud of her positivity and courage. My mum will be 3 chemotherapy sessions in by the time I do this 26 mile walk. The walk is on my twins birthday, however they are happy I'm raising funds to help 'nanny cyprus get better' what we have to remember is they have a birthday every year, some cancer patients don't get to celebrate there next birthday. Therefore, If I could raise £1 for every like my mum got from my brothers Facebook page two weeks ago, that would be over £700 to help other families in fighting this shit disease that has devastated so many of our families Please help me - to help my mum - and other cancer patients out there. Every single penny of your donation will help and my mum will once again be flabagasted at how many people care for her xx

CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
