My Story
This October, I’ll be swimming, cycling and running the distance of a half triathlon over the course of 20 days or so in October to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help me raise life saving funds by sponsoring me. Every pound makes a huge difference into beating cancer sooner. I take this battle seriously having seen friends and family around me suffer with cancer. Some have survived and others have not. For those that know me, this is no mean feat. For starters it means actually going to the gym, doing some exercise and it will be starting with baby steps (think less than novice)... it will also mean managing my type one diabetes in a wholly different way. I haven’t done any fundraising for a while, 18 months. The last one was volunteering in a refugee camp in Greece. I know donating money can be a really hard thing to manage and there are lots of us trying to fundraise.. BUT if you can spare 10p a kilometre, that would be around £11.20 plus Gift Aid... which would be all kinds of awesome. Any donations, however small or large CRUK and myself will be grateful for. Updates using my Apple Watch will be on here. Let me know if you want to join my notification list and you can cheer me on. And Jenny, if you’re reading this, there will be strength training in here too! I haven’t lost the plot!)
