My Story
Hi I will be running the Liverpool Rock n roll half Marathon and the Great North Run in Andy's name. The reason for doing this is because of my last conversation with Muca in St Richards Hospice a few weeks before he passed. We were chatting about my taking up running at this late stage in life and Andy said he wanted to run one with me when he gets out of here. After talking & joking about it and concluding that it would too much of an undertaking, he said to me “you can push me around the race in me wheelchair beaut” This I willingly promised to do but alas this was not to be. With this still in my thoughts I thought I would run one in his memory and raise money for cancer research UK. So, as he was a Liverpool fc fan and loved his music the only one it could be is the Liverpool Rock N Roll half. Also after entering this I managed to get a place in the Great North Run I have secured places in both races and have set up this giving page so any donations will be gratefully received. I also have sponsor forms if you prefer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose!
