Colin's and Rusty the Reindeer Doggy Dash

Hello I am Colin, I am 95 years old. I live at Gracewell of Sway where I live a very happy and fulfilled life with my furry friend Rusty, Staff and Residents I call my second family. I enjoy walking Rusty around the lovely grounds of the home and this made me think…. I have seen how charities have been hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic and having bowel cancer in 2010, I was monitored for 5 years and then got the wonderful news that I was cancer free. I have seen how Cancer has touched so many people in my life and I want to give back and help raise donations to Cancer Research UK, to save more lives like my own. I am pledging to carry out a reindeer dash with my beloved reindeer dog Rusty, I will be putting on my Santa suit and completing 50 laps in my Home at Gracewell of Sway. I will be completing 15,880 steps. I will starting my dash on 12th December the Birthday of my late wife Jean who I loved very dearly. I will finish my dash on 18h December.
