My Story
We sadly lost Mum nearly 14years ago to secondary breast cancer....one of the worse day of my life. I use to take part in a Race For Life or a Cancer research event to raise money every year after she passed away, but since having children this hasnt been possible. Thats why this year is extra special as I will be completing this special event with my eldest Ashley. Sadly Race for Life 5K has been cancelled due to COVID19 but we are now doing Race for Life at Home....completing a 5K each weekend in September (the month we were due to do the 5K)....so four runs!! Although he never met his Grandma Helen he talks about her alot as we always speak about her in day to day life, he also insists in coming to her grave to help keep it tidy with me. Its heartbreaking watching a little boy so fond of a Grandma he has never been able to meet help tidy her grave and placing her special occasion cards on it......she would of loved him dearly. Will be a very special event for us together. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life at Home to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
