To say the last 10 months has been a rollercoaster would be an understatement, but I can happily say today that I am a melanoma survivor... Although my journey has not fully come to an end yet and the next few years I will be watched like a hawk, I know that there are people out there not as fortunate as me. Thanks to a dear friend who encouraged me to see my doctor, I was diagnosed early. I now have the right team of professionals looking after me with wonderful support from family, friends and colleagues! Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Skin cancer
Around 37 people in the UK are told they have malignant melanoma (the most serious form of skin cancer) every day. Over the last decade malignant melanoma incidence rates have increased by around a half (49%) in the UK. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to treat skin cancer.
