My Story
Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2018, I have been on quite a journey! I have so far had 6 different chemotherapy drugs and am currently on a clinical trial for an immunotherapy drug. All of these drugs are available because of research and research can only happen with funding. I am LIVING with a stage 4 cancer, this is possible thanks to the new treatments and drugs that are being used in cancer care.I feel passionate about research and take a lot of comfort knowing that I am on a clinical trial that is currently benefitting me but will also help women in the future who have metastatic triple negative breast cancer. I am being treated at The Christie hospital in Manchester, it is a centre of excellence for cancer care and I have seen first hand some of the work that funding from Cancer Research UK is involved in. Funding for research will continue to give hope to people like me and enable us to LIVE, LOVE and LAUGH for longer! Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you are able to either join Clare's Crew on the day or donate a few pounds to help me raise a bucket full of money for CRUK!
