I decided to sign up after having my own scare this summer. I was found to have 3 pre cancerous polyps during a colonoscopy. I am currently one of the lucky ones and will just be monitored regularly due to the above and my strong family history. My recent fright just shows that we should all listen to our bodies, and get ourselves checked if something doesn't feel right! If I hadn't things could have been very different. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm doing my bit and taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
