In memory of
Dr Ian Thomson
I'm finishing what I started back in September and completing the Thames Path. 142 miles DONE. 54 MILES TO GO. Start: Oxford tomorrow, Wed 17th Oct Finish: the Source, Sun 21st Oct ARRIVING AT HA'PENNY BRIDGE, LECHLADE, THIS FRIDAY AT 1.30PM. We've already SMASHED my £1000 target - LET'S RAISE EVEN MORE! Stay tuned for updates by following www.facebook.com/groups/FromSeaToSource/ or https://www.instagram.com/sea_to_source/ . Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. My family has experienced the devastating impact of cancer over the years but the sudden loss of our village's GP - my family doctor since I was a child - and a great supporter of Cancer Research UK, is my motivation to take on the 196 mile challenge of the Thames Path and its new extension. In recognition of everything that man did to look after his community's well-being I thought an active challenge was the way forward. Walking is thought to reduce the risk of certain types of cancer in addition to being good for mental and general physical health. I will take about two weeks to complete the Path unassisted, carrying all my hiking and camping gear with me and will provide regular updates. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
