Grandma
I've decided to sign up to run Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 5K to help raise money and raise awareness for the continuously needed testing and research that's being done to help the many individuals and their families affected by cancer every day. As a few of you know, my Grandma passed away suddenly from cancer in September 2017, and not a day goes by where I don't think about that special lady. That's why I want to do this in memory of her, but also in memory of the many other people I know, and patients I've looked after in my role as a nurse, who've been affected by this horrible disease. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
