I'm running for the many people that i have known that have been affected by cancer and their families. My Nan lost her battle to cancer when I was younger and most recently my grandad was diagnosed. He is the last surviving sibling of 8, all of whom have lost their fight against cancer. The advances in medicine and technology have meant his cancer could be treated, where the same cancer killed his brother. This is why research is so important!
CAUSE
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
