I'm taking part in Race for Life to remember my friend Jennie.
In memory of
Jennie Meehan
I’m taking part in this year’s Race for Life to remember my friend Jennie. Jennie was a beautiful, funny and intelligent woman. Jennie was diagnosed with breast cancer on 25th October 2021 after feeling unwell for a couple of weeks and sadly passed away 10 days later. Jennie was truly a special lady who taught me to live my life and have no regrets! Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Around 55,900 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. That is more than 150 people a day. 15 out of 100 (15%) of all newly diagnosed cancers in the UK are breast cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me if you can.
