My Story
The Friends of Jane Eyre are once again tackling the Templenewsam Race for Life 5k course. The 1st group completed the course in 2012 following a request from Jane for someone to walk around the course with her. Unfortunately Jane lost her battle on 4th June 2013, despite a courageous and inspirational battle. In memory we have continued with the name 'Friends of Jane Eyre' as family and friends tackle the course each year. Jane was an amazing person who is always in our thoughts. Once again we will be remembering her, and others who have battled this horrendous illness, as we join the sea of pink at Templenewsam, Leeds. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
