Claire's Race for Life
Exeter 5k 2019
Sun 21 Jul 2019 - Sun 21 Jul 2019
Hey there! Thanks for visiting my donation page. Race for Life is close to my heart, as without research we wouldn’t be saving as many lives as we do now, but the fight continues. I’ve lost family members and friends to this disease that doesn’t care who it picks on and the only way to bring the number of lives lost each year down is to keep investing in research. This is my 10yr anniversary of my first ever taking part and also the 10yr anniversary of losing one of my dear school friends aged just 34. This ones for her and all those families that have been touched by cancer in some way, let’s face it, that’s probably all of us. I can easily walk a 5k so I’m challenging myself to run/jog the course. I’m not a runner but I think it’s only fair to suffer a bit of discomfort and challenge myself. Challenge, something every single person diagnosed with cancer faces daily. I welcome any donation, big or small, it all helps, so if you can only manage the £2 minimum amount, that’s absolutely fine, it still means the same. So thank you in advance of whatever you decide to throw into my pot! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
