My Story

In 2013 we received the devastating news that there was nothing more the doctors could do for my Step Mom. She had already beat cancer previously, but this time it was too much. We lost her three weeks later. It was a heartbreaking time for our family and waiting for it to take her was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. The more we do for this charity, the less people will have to go through this devastating experience. A good friend of mine is currently battling cancer and is kicking it's butt! Proof that we are getting closer and closer to that end goal. Each day she gets stronger and stronger and proves to be one of the strongest and most inspiring ladies I've ever met. I am also running to support my husbands Gang, and everyone else who is being, or has ever been affected by this awful disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
