My Story
Those of you who know me well will know that I loathe all forms of exercise, and break into a sweat running a bath, let alone, well, you know, actually running - however, it seems that nothing is more persuasive than a persistent daughter, and so Alice and I have signed up for Race For Life 2017. Cancer has touched both of our lives deeply via a number of family and friends' diagnoses, and in 2012 because I completed Race For Life in their honour, a large tumour was discovered in my leg, and within a few weeks of completing the race I found myself sat in the oncology department as a patient myself. Thankfully mine was benign, and an impressive scar later all was well, although it proved in my mind that running is bad for your health, and so I haven't donned my trainers since ? Soooooooo, if you'd like to eradicate cancer, and improve treatment options available, or just in support of poor Alice who now has to coax me along this journey as I huff, puff, and moan then please do spare what you can - it's a great cause, and by June we'll be running the lot like pros - we promise xx Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
