My Story
You may or may not know that I am not the world's best runner, for a long time 5km was my limit. In 2009 I tried a 10km Race for Life in Brighton, and I collapsed from heat exhaustion and low blood sugar levels, where I needed medical assistance and oxygen - Very Scary!!! Since then I have been able to complete a few more 5km and 10km runs successfully, and in 2016 I completed the Great South Run (10 miles or 16km) which was my furthest distance. So this year after a few hamstring issues early in the year, I managed to get back into running and wanted a new challenge, so have signed up to take part in the Cardiff 1/2 Marathon. This will be my furthest distance running. Cancer Research means a lot to me as I have had friends and family affected by Cancer.
