My Story

For many, 2018 has been a really hard year. Dear friends and loved ones of mine have grieved tragic losses and celebrated amazing recoveries. This March 2019 I will walk 10k steps every day as challenge for Cancer Research; in honour and memory to those who struggle, are struggling or have struggled. Though it is a new year, I want to use these steps to reflect and acknowledge these stories brought along with me into this year; make each step count for something more than just my own personal gain. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
