My Story
On 5th April, to celebrate 10 years clear from Cancer I am attempting to run a race from the East Coast to the West Coast of England in 4.5 days. The 300k (190 mile) route passes through mountainous and exposed terrain and has over 6,500m (21,500ft) of ascent. The race has minimal support so I'll be carrying a 10kg pack and will be running through the nights to make sure I pass the cut-off times. I reckon I'll get about 6 hours sleep throughout! I wanted to have a big challenge to celebrate 10 years of being Cancer-free and to convince everyone to put their hands in their pockets and donate money towards the diagnosis and treatment of a disease which will affect all of us, directly or through family and friends.
