I am not a natural boxer and I'm terrified of getting in the ring but I'm always up for a challenge and there's no greater challenge to overcome than cancer.
So, on Wednesday 19th October, after less than 8 weeks of training, I'll enter the ring for 3 x 2 minute rounds of boxing along with a number of my fellow colleagues. We are brave, we are brilliant and above all we are bricking it!
I lost my Dad to lung cancer 23 years ago and devastatingly, 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But this is the critical moment for cancer research. Advances in science have put cures within our grasp. So there’s no time to waste. Please support me and Stand Up To Cancer by giving generously.
You’ll be funding translational research; clinical trials focused on finding new treatments as quickly as possible.
