Christine's Race for Life

Last year my niece Suzie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has had surgery and chemo and is now on a trial drug which is keeping this horrible thing under control. She is only 26 years old. It was a devastating shock to the family. I have been in awe of her during the past year and a half in the way she has been so strong and helped to keep the family from despair. She has raised huge sums of money for the Little Princess Trust by donating her own hair, organising and performing in her own concert and even running in the London Marathon this year. She has been so strong that I want to show my support for her and this is why I have entered the Race for Life this year along with my sister and members of her hockey club 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
