Lynne Graham
My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. For those that know me, you'll remember I lost my wonderful, amazing and inspirational mother Lynne Graham, in 2008. Not a day goes by when she is not in my thoughts constantly. She lived life to the full, ate well, never smoked and everyone she met fell in love with her. Cruelly, her life was taken from her within 8 months of being diagnosed at the young age of 65 and it is not only about the fight to beat cancer but the diagnosis. Her doctor looked at her and said 'You haven't got cancer Lynne' despite her knowing something was wrong with her liver and knocking on doors to get blood tests and the like while she was rapidly losing weight and losing her appetite and constantly fatigued. My mission is to continue to raise awareness of the symptoms that lead to cancer and to stop this evil and cruel disease from tearing families apart and breaking their worlds. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
