My Story

Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I have been inspired to raise money for CRUK because cancer has directly affected so many people I know including close friends. I can see how devastating cancer can be when it cannot be cured. We all know that at least one in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime so it is vital that money is raised to help researchers find a cure for this cruel and indiscriminate disease. Regrettably, my original plan to. run a live zoom class has had to be cancelled. However, I have recorded the planned class which you can view at the following link. This accessible nurturing zoom class is all about self-care, winding down after a busy day and relaxing the mind and preparing your body for deep rest. You will focus on looking inward to sooth yourself, ease out any tension from the body, calm down your nervous system, slow down and set the mood for sleep. This nourishing compassionate class will include breath work, gentle mellow flow yoga, restorative, yin and meditation/relaxation. No yoga experience is necessary. Wear something loose and comfortable and find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. You will need a yoga mat or towel, one or two flat yoga blocks (or hard back books), a bolster (or cushions/pillows), a blanket and an optional eye pillow. You'll leave the class feeling chilled and deeply relaxed. Thank you for your support. Together we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
