My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m taking on the Run 62 Miles Challenge to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. It's 12 years since my Dad passed from Oesophageal Cancer and 9 years since I ran the London marathon in aid of Cancer research. Recently my son George (namesake of my dad, and just 4 years old) has been more inquisitive of his illness so I saw this as a good opportunity for myself to get back into running and to bring his memory back to life. I will also be encouraging George to cover some of those miles on his bike in support of myself and in memory of his fellow Liverpool fan Grandad George. Any donations are more than welcome.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
