My Story
Millions are fighting cancer worldwide, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when cancer is cured for all. I am studying Biomedical Science at Bath University and am currently on placement at "The Altitude Centre: in London (a training centre which simulates altitude in preparation for high altitude expeditions and sports performance). I have always been a keen sportsman and focused a lot on cycling in particular. Having lost a friend at the heart of my cycling team to pancreatic cancer I wanted to raise funds for this cause. The Everest Marathon is an annual event held in May on the date Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa first reached the summit in 1953. It starts at an altitude of 5365m and is considered to be one of the highest and toughest races in the world. The race starts at base camp and moves through the high sherpa trails of Khumbu valley. There are 3 races, ultra (60k), full (42k) and half (21k), I am running the full marathon. I am self-funding so all proceeds go to Cancer Research, please help me raise funds for such a worthy cause.
