Chloe's Race for Life
London - Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Pretty Muddy 5k 2020
Sat 25 Jul 2020 - Sat 25 Jul 2020
This year on the 14th September will mark 9 years since my grandad passed away. He had both emphysema and bone cancer which had put him in hospital at age 68. The cancer didn't kill him because the emphysema managed to get to him first. However whether he had emphysema or not the cancer would have eventually killed him as he had suffered with it for 10 years and he was at stage 3 which meant the cancer had spread to other bones and other areas of the body. It is very common for the cancer to have spread to his lungs and so would have killed him if the emphysema did not. I've decided to take part in the 5k pretty muddy to raise money for him and to honour him and I hope I do him proud. I love and miss you grandad.
