My Story
Mum and I have chosen to take part in Bath’s Pretty Muddy 5k this September. I can remember a time when the word cancer wasn’t really in my vocabulary, I’d heard of it but I was quite disconnected from it. In 2011 that word tried to break us when my mum was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It didn’t break us though. My gorgeous mumma was an absolute trooper, she beat the ugly battle with such courage! We’ve continued to live life, make precious memories and take as many opportunities as we can ever since, remembering how lucky we are along the way. Raising more awareness and money where possible will make a huge difference to Cancer Research UK. I know during our experience we were grateful for the information they provided, and for the research they were doing and are continuing to do. Every single £1 will make a difference and will be hugely appreciated. I’m sure it will be highly amusing sliding down mud slides, bouncing on space hoppers and crawling through muddy tunnels - wish us luck! X
