Making a difference in the world, preventing the loss of others and just to make my mum proud.
In memory of
Jacky Franklin
4th Jan 1971 - 14th Mar 2016
As many people know I lost my mum in March 2016 to cancer. My mum was only 46. You never imagine it happening to you or someone you know, and deeply love, but when it does the fight is on. It changes everything. My mum was my inspiration, and I want to make her proud. Even if I raise £1, it's better than nothing at all, it will make a difference and it will change someone's life. I will also be running for Janice Farrer, although I didn't know her long, she touched my heart, and has left such a massive impact on my life. We need to kick cancers arse! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k on the 23rd of July 2017, to raise money, save lives, and just damn right make my mum proud. I wouldn't wish for anyone to lose a parent or in fact anyone to cancer, so by doing this I hope to stop anyone else having to go through the pain and heartache of losing someone to this shit disease. I don't want anyone to feel as empty, and lost as I do, any donation is appreciated. And if any of you know me, you'll know i am not a runner, or a fitness finatic. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
