Chloe-Louise's Race for Life
Leeds Pretty Muddy 5k 2019

In memory of
Esther Parkinson
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. My grandma was diagnosed with skin cancer and she managed to beat it with all the support of her friends and family. However, she then developed lung cancer and it quickly spread around her body. She still kept her strength even tho physically she wasn’t strong. Soon enough she couldn’t leave the house without her oxygen tank or her wheelchair. The days got tougher and her strength was weakening. In 2016 after trying all she could, she passed away. She was surrounded by all her family as she took her last breath. She was in no pain anymore. Seeing someone you love so much go through so much pain and their is nothing you can do to help is torture itself. This is why I have decided to raise money in remeberence of my grandma. For anyone who knows me, knows I’m lazy but all I can say is I can’t wait to do this run! I also want to say I’m so proud of my Auntie Chantal who has beaten breast cancer. This run is also for you. This run is to all those affected by cancer, who has beaten cancer or for the people who are doing it in remberence if someone. #itwillbebeaten
