Chi-Kit's London Marathon 2022 Fundraiser for Cancer Research UK
2 Oct 2022 London Marathon
In 2009, I was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer, a very rare head and neck cancer, particularly for a young person as I was then! What started as quite serious (70/30 chance of survival) turned into something more serious (less than 50/50 chance of survival) as the disease developed. Fortunately though after a year of treatments and very innovative operations, I was cured and subsequently discharged in 2015. I have wanted to do a fundraiser ever since and have at last obtained a place at a sufficiently amazing event to raise a hopefully decent sum to help continue to fund the research in the many fights against all forms of cancer. For anyone I see on the big day (Sunday 2 October) we can definitely share a celebratory drink! Many thanks for your generosity. Best wishes, Chi
