For all the brave people who courageously fight cancer.
My Story
"My story" is entirely unremarkable, as it is the story of so many others. I've watched my parents, close family friends, neighbours, work colleagues and even my great aunt courageously fight against this awful disease. Some win and some lose, but we are all affected. I am delighted to run my very first 10k for such a remarkable purpose, and for those individuals who are still battling cancer in all its forms and effects. I will proudly wear pink on the day, to acknowledge the personal role breast cancer has played in my life, and I hope to keep a steady (but slow!) running pace for the whole 10k. This is a huge effort for me and really has forced me out of my comfort zone. I've been training for weeks! I hope I can do it! So... you may not know this but 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
