I'm Standing Up To Cancer and taking part in an Ultra White Collar Boxing event in October
My Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. So I'm Standing Up To Cancer and taking part in an Ultra White Collar Boxing event on 19 October (yes, that's me in the picture). I'll be training twice a week (at 7am) for 8 weeks with professional boxing coaches in preparation for the fight. And yes it's a real fight, infront of a huge crowd of 600 people. Why am I doing this? Well other than it’ll completely push me out of my comfort zone, I also want to raise as much money as possible for translational research; clinical trials focused on finding new treatments as quickly as possible. I'd be grateful if you could support me and Stand Up To Cancer. You can directly sponsor via this page, bid for my fighter name (eek!) or buy a ticket for the night (details tbc). Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Thank you so much :-)

CAUSE
Stand Up to Cancer: LIFE-SAVING RESEARCH
100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers will not get us there alone. Every penny raised helps speed up breakthroughs in the lab, transforming them into new tests and treatments for patients who need them. The research you fund will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
