My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January 2020, I’m taking on Dryathlon and going booze-free for one month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. My father had PROSTATE CANCER when I was in my teens (I am now in my late 40's). He survived it as they caught it earlier enough. He is now 85, but now lives with the dreaded disease ... ALZHEIMER'S. In addition to my father, my mother was diagnosed at the age of 44 years of age with ACUTE MYELOID LEUKAEMIA and died a year later at at 45 years. She was in the Johannesburg General Teaching Hospital, South Africa. They tried all new available drugs, to no avail. I was only 18 years old and just started my first job. When she passed away, EVERYTHING in our lives changed. Nothing we grew up knowing was ever the same. Please, help me to help the CANCER RESEARCH TEAM in the UK work to find a cure. BUT, we need your help to raise funds to do so. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and donate any amount you can spare.
