Inspired by so many others personal and charitable achievements over the past year, I am taking part in this year’s 5km Race for Life in honour of Mum. We walked our final Race for Life together in 2015 and this April will mark 5 years since her passing. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. Every pound I am able to raise will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work to help patients, and families, to hopefully spend more time together.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
