Charlotte's Race for Life

As many of you know I started running the 5K Race for life every year, with my mum, when I was 5 years old in 2012. Then, unfortunately, my mum was diagnosed with Breast cancer in April 2016, so I had to run it on my own that year, as Mum was undergoing treatment. Last year my mum slowly jogged round and my brother, Josh, kept her company and I ran on my own again. So here we are again with the Bath Race for life taking place this weekend. However, I decided it would be more of a challenge (and, therefore, would be more worthy of sponsorship) if I ran the 10K instead for the 5K. Mum looked into it, and unfortunately for her, I could only do it if an adult signed up with me! So she signed us both up and got training. Training was going really well until she had another operation on the 15th June and the consultant said no running for 6 weeks – her plans to run the 10k fell apart. She wasn’t to be beaten though, so the day before her operation, she and a friend ran over 10k. She ran her Race for Life early! This weekend, Mum will be walking the 10k Race for Life and I will be running – let’s hope it’s not too hot! Therefore, if you feel you can spare any change to sponsor us we’d really appreciate it.
