My Story
I don't know many people who haven't had family or friends affected by Cancer. When my mum was a young girl she lost her mum to this awful disease and I couldn't imagine being in that position myself. Unfortunately my best friends received the news early March that their dad had Pancreatic Cancer, Stage 4.This was such a shock, and after a short diagnosis, Simon unfortunately passed away. at the end of March. Growing up, Tracey and Simon were like family and I spent a lot of time at their house eating their food and sleepovers in the living room with their daughters Lauren and Tyna. I always went round Christmas Day first thing to exchange gifts and have a bucks fizz with the family. Simon was a wonderful, friendly person and always had a smile on his face. He will never be forgotten and I always have fond memories of him. When Tracey, Lauren and Tyna lost Simon it turned their lives upside down and there was nothing we as friends could do to help. So we've decided to do what little we can, and we're running this 5K for Simon! Hopefully this will support other families in the future for family or friends who are affected by this awful disease. Any donations would be greatly appreciated for this incredible charity. x x x x x
