My Story
26 years ago our grandad got diagnosed with oesophagus cancer, which he survived after having his stomach removed. He was given 10 years to live. After beating the odds by 15 years, he was unfortunately diagnosed again with the big "C" in January 2017. This time it was cancer of the lung, trachea and bone. He was given 3 months to live, after beating the odds again by 9months he unfortunately lost his battle on the 2nd January 2018. As a family it has opened our eyes a lot to the different types of cancers out there, and the importance in raising money for cancer research to find cures and catch cancers early on before they get to an untreatable stage.
