I'm walking at Shine Night Walk in memory of mum.
In memory of
Dawn Saunders
23rd Jul 1959 - 15th Mar 2014
My mum was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the end of 2013. She was complaining if a pain in her shoulder and she began retaining water. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and called it her little "furball". Mum was in Maidstone hospital for around 2 months where she began her radiotherapy treatment. Unfortunately in this time, the "furball" had actually spread around her body And there was no cure. Mum came home on the 10th of March 2014 where we had carers every hour of the day and night to help mum with the pain. Our living room was transformed into mums bedroom and my aunt moved in to help care for her. On the 14th of March Eleanor called and said they had a bed for mum as restbite so in she went. We was advised to say our goodbyes as they inserted a driver to slowly shut mums body down and give mum some relieve. At 7:10 on the 15th of March Mum grew her wings. Her last words to me were "make Me proud" and that is why I'm running the half marathon. Please donate what you can, as big or little as every little helps fund vital research to find a cure so others don't go through what my mum did.
