If my nan can, anyone can
2017 Simplyhealth Great North Run
Sun 10 Sep 2017
This September I am walking the Great North Run with my nan and papa. In August of 2016, my nan was diagnosed with Melanoma. Melanoma is the most aggressive form of skin cancer and also has the most fatalities. She underwent surgery to remove a few aggressive lumps, and has also had to undergo several PET CT scans. My incredibly brave nan now undergoes a session of immunotherapy every 3 weeks to try and keep the cancer under control. There simply is no cure. My nan and papa are undertaking this walk with myself to raise awareness that even with a devastating diagnosis that has severely shocked us all, that with current revolutionary immunotherapy treatment you are able to sustain a life with good quality. We as a strong family are willing to do to whatever we can to raise awareness of skin cancer. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and any donations are most appreciated.
