Shine Night Walk - Full Marathon
Sat 23 Sep 2017
Soooo Welsh and I have decided to do something a bit bonkers and sign up to the 2017 Shine Night Walk MARATHON. We'll be taking on the 26.2 mile walk which starts at Southwark Park, going over Tower Bridge, passing St Paul's Cathedral, round to the BT Tower, through Hyde Park, round to Buckingham Palace, passing Trafalgar Square, through Chelsea, passing Battersea Power Station, round to the London Eye, The Shard and then crossing the finish line at Oldbillingsgate. Woooo. Even though I'm lucky enough to say my Dad fortunately beat Cancer 4 years ago, I sadly lost my Grandad to the horrible and selfish disease before that. So many families go through the same horrible battle and will sadly lose their loved ones and in my small little way, I want to help prevent this from happening. More than 1 in 3 of us will develop some form of Cancer in our lifetime and it's our job to help raise the money to fund the VITAL research which could save thousands of lives. Cancer Research receives no government funding. The life saving work that Cancer Reserach carries out, relies on all of the money fundraised from events like these. SURVIVAL has doubled over the past 40 years!!!! We can beat Cancer! It would mean SOO much if you'd donate some of ya money and help us to reach our target. Lots of love and thank you ❤️
