Dad - Phil Braine
My Story
So this year I’m taking part in a Pretty Muddy 5k again, and I’ve roped in my oldest and closest friend Lucy - who jumped at the chance! Doing the race again brings up a lot of mixed feelings, as the last time I did this dad was still around. Since losing dad to cancer, I’ve known several people who have had to battle breast cancer, one in particular my family and I are very close to. It really does hit home how scary Cancer is and how it affects so many of us, at any time during our life, and in different ways. Every penny that can be raised to go towards research in this area is so much appreciated. Please donate, however little or much, if you are able to. Thank you x “Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
