Seeing the number of people who have been affected by losing a loved one over cancer.

On the 25th June I will be getting very muddy (to my delight!!) doing the 5k pretty muddy run for cancer research.

There are a number of reasons why I have chosen to run and raise money for this extremely important charity. Firstly, I never got to meet my Grandad due to the fact he died of bowel cancer just before I was born. My dad tell's me I have a number of similar characteristics to him and we would have got on incredibly well so for me its sad that I never got to meet him. Also, I am running for my incredibly strong Auntie who has had cancer 3 times but has amazingly now been in remission for over 10 years.
Lastly, I am running for all my friends who have sadly lost relatives in the last couple of years to cancer, they have all shown such incredible strength.

With the scary statistic that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I feel that it is vital that money is raised for this cause as it will and already has had an impact on so many peoples lives.

Lets beat cancer!!!
