Cerys's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Alex has signed us up, it’s official! As you may know, I’m not a mega-fan of regular exercise. Or of exercise at all. Or even of doing my half-jog up the stairs at the train station every morning. But Alex has assured me that I can manage a 5k on flat ground with him, and we shall put this theory to the test! I was only about 8 when cancer first hit me with the death of my Grandad Jim. I was definitely too small and shielded by my family to comprehend such a disease at the time. But after seeing it hurt people and families close to me over the years, I've seen and understood how brutal it can be.
