My Story
Cerys, Morgan (cerys' friend), my mum and I will be running the race for life for our 6th year in may! UPDATE 27/4/19: things have changed dramatically since we signed up for the race for life this year. My dad was told on Thursday, that he has secondary cancer in his lymph nodes. This time around, his cancer is incurable, and all that can be done is to try to stop it from spreading. As much as we've always wanted to raise as much money as possible for cancer research, this year we want to raise even more! The work that cancer research carry out is invaluable, and hopefully one day, a cure can be found so that families like ours, don't have to go through the heartache of a diagnosis of incurable cancer. If anyone can spare a few pounds, the link is below for donations. Literally every pound helps!! ❤ Many of you know that my Dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2014, and after a long fight involving numerous courses of chemo and life altering surgery across a considerable length of time, he is now a survivor of the most awful disease ever known. As well as my dad, we have also run the race for life for many friends and family who have had their battles with cancer, some with a good outcomes, but unfortunately with not so good outcomes. The saddest trait of cancer for me, is knowing that anyone, at any age, with any lifestyle can be struck with cancer at anytime! Please help us to raise money to fund further research in a bid to beat cancer once and for all! We run this year for all of our loved ones who have been affected by cancer, and will continue to run each year to raise funds in the hope that one day, a cure will be found. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
