My Story
Recently my step-dad has undergone scans and tests as a tumour has been found on his lung. At present we do not know if it is cancer but the thought of it is scary enough. Fingers crossed it turns out to be benign. The money raised can go towards research into treatment which can help those who are diagnosed. Update - Unfortunately it has been diagnosed as stage 3 adenocarcinoma and we he is undergoing surgery to drain the fluid from underneath the tumour, if this contains cancer cells then he will undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy, if it does not then they will attempt to remove the tumour. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
