I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer

In memory of

Maria Gracinda

This isn't something you like to think about, but it is an illness that we can't ignore. Cancer is a c*nt. But research is saving lives.

After 5 years of treatments that we close to working, I lost my Mum to ovarian cancer 2 years ago. A relative, Patricia is also alive today, and a happy grandmother, thanks to the research into beating breast cancer.

The treatments are better, the care is much more humane and the support has developed into making a difference between life and death. For all the people I know that I've lost to cancer, there is also a lot to be thankful for.

There is hope in research and hope for people like my mum, Marise, Patricia, Ronan and Edwige who want to live.

So here I am, ready to get muddy for my 2nd Cancer Research fundraiser! For all the people I love, whether they're here today or not.
