My Story
Hello There! Thank you for clicking and reading this little message. I'm going to be swimming 10k in August for Cancer Research. If you know me then you'll know that the water is my happy place - so please make it my even happier place by helping me meet my goal of £1,500. Some of you may know that my dad was diagnosed this year and it's shaken up our worlds. But what I've come to realise is that cancer doesn't care who you are or how well you've lived your life. So, research now is so important to broadening our understanding and developing our treatment of this shitty disease. It's been eye-opening to the number of people coping with cancer today and it has been part of what has prompted me to complete this challenge. So I swim for my Dad, for anyone else's Dad, Mum, Sibling, Friend or Foe. We're in this together. ✨✨❤️✨✨

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
